Dirty Glamour (part 2) was inspired by a "toned down" theory of trash the dress--a post-wedding fashion trend where the bride puts on her wedding dress once again and sacrifices it to the environment around her such as dirt, mud, and even fire. I had never experimented with fashion before, but it definitely requires a completely different mindset than regular portraits. I took the models to places such as construction sites, garbage dumps, and other run down areas in order to make their attire stand out against the harsh background. After doing this project, I definitely learned to appreciate the talent it takes to show emotion through a product, and plan on trying more fashion photography in the future!

Illustrate Your Life
shape and color study by Jessica Colon and Alyssa Stanley.
This process is done in illustrator and definitely requires a steady hand and a lot of patience.
My illustrator partner found information on collaborating art and photography and we decided to make a project out of it. The process is tedious and can take up to four or five hours, involving the pencil tool, the paintbrush tool, and colors from the original photo.

Feliz Felicity
Baby's first Christmas is coming up and of course the adorable dresses are starting to line up :) Felicity is such a blessing, and she's definitely something to celebrate this holiday season.
